EFE organizes on Friday, Saturday & Sunday March 10, 11, & 12, 2023, an excursion, a photographic excursion in Karpenisi and invites its members and friends to participate.
The excursion will take place with a tourist bus of the Kyriakakis Travel company and the accommodation will be at the Hotel "Anesis" in the center of the city. The program of the excursion was made with the valuable cooperation with our member from Karpenisi, Petros Bakatsias, whom we will ask to guide us.
In detail, the program includes:
1st DAY (FRIDAY 10/3/2023)
16:00 DEPARTURE FROM ATHENS (Metro Station: Metaxourgeio/Hotel Stanley).
ARRIVAL KARPENISI, CHECK-IN HOTEL, FOOD IN A TAVERN IN THE TOWN
2nd DAY (SATURDAY 11/3/2023 - BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL)
10:40 DEPARTMENT FOR MONASTERY OF PROUSOU, INTERMEDTED IN THE POSITION "KEY" AND POSITION "DIKOTAMA" FOR PHOTOGRAPHS, VISITING HOLY MONASTERY THE LANDSCAPE OF "STREMMENOU" OR THE BLACK CAVE CANYON.
(TRAVEL TIME : 80 MINUTES, LENGTH OF STAY : 90 + 30 = 120 MINUTES).
14:00 DEPARTURE FOR GAVRO, MEGALO CHORIOS, FOOD IN THE VILLAGE TAVERN, VISIT TO A TROUT BREEDING STATION, ARCHER BRIDGE OF GAVROS.
(TRAVEL TIME: 35 MINUTES, LENGTH OF STAY: 115 MINUTES).
16:30 DEPARTURE FOR MAGALA CHORIO, COFFEE IN THE VILLAGE SQUARE, PHOTOGRAPHY ON THE VILLAGE WALLS AND ON THE FOREST PATH ALONG THE STREAM, VISIT THE FOLKLORE MUSEUM (IF IT IS OPEN AFTER CONSULTATION). OPTIONALLY, WHOEVER WANTS CAN GO BY FOOT FROM THE INTERNAL ROAD THAT CONNECTS THE TWO SETTLEMENTS.
(TRAVEL TIME: 10 MINUTES, LENGTH OF STAY: 130 MINUTES).
18:50 RETURN TO THE HOTEL, FREE TIME TO TOUR THE CITY.
3rd DAY (SUNDAY 12/3/2023) - BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL)
10:40 DEPARTURE KORYSHADES, VISIT THE MUSEUM OF NATIONAL RESISTANCE (IF IT IS OPEN, AFTER CONSULTATION WITH THE MUNICIPALITY), PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE INTERNAL STREETS OF THE VILLAGE.
(TRAVEL TIME: 10 MINUTES, LENGTH OF STAY: 30 MINUTES).
11:30 DEPARTURE FOR TOURIST HORSE RIDING PARK AND CAFE "SALOON".
(TRAVEL TIME: 10 MINUTES, LENGTH OF STAY: 60 MINUTES).
13:40 DEPARTURE FOR GORIANADES, FOOD IN A VILLAGE TAVERN.
(TRAVEL TIME: 10 MINUTES, LENGTH OF STAY: 65 MINUTES).
15:00 DEPARTURE FOR ATHENS.
COST OF EXCURSION: 140 euros
The cost includes the transfer from Athens - Karpenisi and return by Kyriakakis Travel company bus, two nights with breakfast in a double room at Hotel "Anesis".
All additional costs during the excursion (tickets to archaeological sites, food, etc.) are borne by the participants. Especially for accommodation in a single room, the participation is charged with an additional cost of 45 euros.
Participation right
As many EFE members as they wish can participate in the excursion, accompanied by those they wish, as well as EFE friends. By declaring their participation, excursionists accept the program as announced and any changes will only be with the organizer's approval.
